For Fallout 3 can I still get the fatman after I leave GNR plaza and kill the behemoth?

There are plenty of fatman launchers in the game, you don't have to pick that one in particular.

Check the weapons merchant in Rivet City, I was playing last night and saw that he was selling a Fatman.

I would go ahead and check the dead Brotherhood of Steel soldier by the fountain. I don't think he disappears as soon as the fight is over. I'm also quite surprised that you managed to kill the behemoth without weaking him with a shot from the fat man. Good job!

The Fat Man itself isn't unique though. To be honest, it isn't worth much as a weapon due to the limited ammo. Your best bet to find one would probably be Flak and Flak & Shrapnel's. My source lists all the places people have found one so far. If you are willing to wait, you should also be able to get one during the "Reilly's Rangers" quest.

You can definitely still get that Fatman. It's on the fountain near the dead Brotherhood of Steel member near the front, facing where the Behemoth appears. Return to GNR and leave by the door you came in by the first time. Everything that was out there should still be there.

A number of the weapons merchants in the game have the fatman for sale, so if you miss it here, it's not a big deal. You'll just have to pay for it.
