What happen to Leon from Resident Evil 4?

Because he did not die in RE 4, I was thinking that he would be in R 5. Not this Chris guy.

I don't think the Resident Evil series has every had the same main character twice in a row. Leon will probably make an appearance in a future RE game.

In the meantime, run out and rent Resident Evil: Degeneration. It's a CGI animated movie, like Final Fantasy Spirits Within, and stars Leon and Claire. The story begins a year after the events of Resident Evil 4.
