Do you need the GTA IV disc to play the GTA IV DLC?

I sold my original copy of GTA IV for my XBOX, but i'd like to play the DLC. Does anyone know if you need to boot up the original disc to play it?

Yes, you need the disc. Even if you use the copy to hard disk feature, it will require the disc to be in the drive for authentication.

That Answer is incorrent. When GTA IV's second DLC "The Ballad of Gay Tony" comes out, RockStar is releasing a Stand-Alone Disc with BOTH "The Lost and Damned" & "The Ballad of Gay Tony" on the same disc & you WILL NOT need the original disc to play these DLC.
