about 12 Step Program
Wow.... do they have a 12 step program for habitual liars?

The main issue may be that Pathological or compulsive lying is not considered an entity in itself, but a symptom of some other psychiatric condition. and therefore cannot be treated separate from treatment of the main disorder.

This hasn't stopped people from self-diagnosis, or from attempts by lay-people (non-psychiatric community) to label lying and addiction an try to cure it like alcoholism.

There is a web page called "Liars Anonymous" that is part of a web site called "Daily Strength Group". As far as I can tell, it offers only on-line help as of now, no face to face meetings as in AA. It also is unclear whether they actually follow a 12 step program. The Daily Strength Group is made up of 12 step programs, but it appears as though this may be an exception.
