Simply because he's an actor doesn't stop me from voting for him, per se.
The pluses: He is a native New Mexican, so he does have ties to the state and the community, which I like.
The minuses: He has no direct political experience whatsoever. I'd like to see somebody, you know, get elected to a smaller role, like state legislature, or mayor or something, before vaulting over to Governor.
Also, apparently he was a Nader supporter. So there's awkwardness running as a Dem, which he'd need to do to have a legit shot at the office.
Also, much would depend on "the other guy." Often, politics is voting for the person whom you most agree with and whom you think will do the best job. Some call this the "lesser of two evils" but I call it necessary compromise. The chances that any political candidate will mesh up 100% with my believes is, essentially, zero.
p.s. your "New Mexico" inlink is missing a right bracket (]).

M$Thank you for your question.
It would depend on his policies. Given that he was a strong supporter of Ralph Nader, I doubt that I would vote for him.
