Would you refer to Consumer Magazine, if you weren't sure which product to purchase?
Years ago, I always read Consumer Magazine to compare which was the best product on the market. It wasn't always the most expensive, or most known brand, but this magazine took into account how the product worked, was it safe, etc. It was useful for buying children's toys for example. Were they safe? Did they have any chemicals unsafe for babies). I have only seen this magazine in N.Z Is this magazine published in the U.S., and do people refer to this as a guide, when wanting to purchase something important?

I actually have an online subscription to Consumer Reports and will use it as a starting point and often enough a finishing point for most significant purchases I make or will make. Now that you bring this other publication to my attention I will be taking a look at Consumer Magazine as well.
Next up? New Vacuums.
This is the one they would recommend for me Electrolux Oxygen EL6988 and they say that it should cost about $430.00 but Wal-Mart has them online for $328.54 so that is a pretty sweet deal for this vacuum. This unit is rated 70 and is in 2nd over all place to the Kenmore Intuition with a 72 and a $500.00 price tag so overall I will be getting the best unit for me and for the money according to this consumer magazine that I trust.
I will check this paid online version of Consumer Reports for everything :)

When I lived in N.Z., years ago) this was one of the most highly rated magazines, and most people always used it before a purchase.
