Would you rather do a math problem about trains or ride a New York City subway? Which do you choose, and why?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Definitely the math problem. I haven't done the subway in years, actually. Give me car service (or a car to drive) any day! Assuming I didn't need to actually go anywhere, the math problem would probably take up less of my time too.

I would rather do the math problem because I like math and one problem wouldn't bother me at all.

Actually, if it was only one problem, it would be kind of fun.

I've never ridden on a subway before, but it sounds like an unpleasant experience.

That would depend on whether I needed to get from one place in NYC to another fairly distant one. If I did, I'd much rather ride the subway, as solving the math problem wouldn't get me where I needed to be. If not, I'd do the math problem, as it would take less time, cost nothing, and leave me where I was.

I would definitely rather do a math problem, because I am a trained mathematician and math teacher.
