Would you like to see a mechanism for grammar and answer aesthetics post hour editing and Bug tracker and My.Mahalo implemented into Mahalo?
A word or two hear and there always seem to end up being spelled incorrectly or are out of place. Even once an hour has passed might I catch a misspelled word or something that is just out of place.
And not everytime completely my fault, sometimes maintenance or the shear load of users slows down the site, so my editing has to take a back seat.
What I would love to see is a mechanism to submit grammar or placement requests embedded directly into the WYSIWYG editor or inside the user CP in some place.
I would also love to see a bug tracker setup ( Possibly at Bugs.Mahalo.com )
so we can track the progress and regression of known bugs, see acknowledgment of known bugs and know exactly when a bug is crushed and who crushed it.
Even some of the worlds largest sites like Apple and Twitter have a bug tracker and/or bug status page that users can be apart of.
Which brings me to my next question.
Would it be possible to setup My.Mahalo.com pages for all existing members, something we can all tailor to our unique place in the Mahalo world. With up to date news, weather, sports, popular culture, Page stats and current EYi's .
These are all things that I think have been considered, however I would like to hear from the users what you all think.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I once suggested blogger style features and this would be fantastic.

M$Spell Checking: I use Firefox, so I have built in spell checker. I just need to remember to check for the red underline before I submit.
Grammar Checking: Would be nice to have the option, but what would it do with a post like this?
Plagiarism Checking: What I would like to see is built-in plagiarism checker, that kicks back posts that are direct copies of others' work without appropriate attribution or quotation.
Dreaming.....
Automatic In-linking: Have the editor recognize strings that exist as Mahalo pages and automatically in-link them.

M$For school we had to submit our essays and papers through http://turnitin.com. It checks for original work and proper citations. Helps identify suspect work for professors to review.
Copy and Pasting on Mahalo is great for those trying to do things the right way, but, your having to publish the reminder periodically shows that the user community may need more than a nudge.
Perhaps the Report button could have a Plagiarism option. Right now I guess that is covered under other violation of TOS on the same line with Inappropriate or Hate Speech.
I think you misunderstood my stance on spell checking, I was not referring to immediate spell checking rather a mechanism to allow users to correct their spelling errors even after 1 hour has passed and their answer is not able to be edited.
Thanks @xds, It would be helpful to have a spell check attached to submit so you could catch them up front. I can understand not editing after an hour, because if content changes in a big way after answers are posted, the thread losses context.
The Copy and Pasting on Mahalo page offers great Plagiarism trackers.
An automated system may not work because it could kick back legitimate cited quotes?
Having a personal My Mahalo page like that would be double plus one!!!

M$Excellent observation @chefjoanna I think that should also be voted on by the community somehow. All of the post "best answer" answers should also be voted somehow.
Maybe even have tips for those who still answer questions that have already have a best answer selected.
