Would you go rogue to capture/eliminate Osama Bin Laden?

I follow Wired's Danger Room blog on Twitter and ran across this story today (http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2010/06/sword-wielding-osama-hunter-looking-in-the-right-place/ ). The man arrested by Pakistani police was heading to where Bin Laden has been rumored to be. Would you do the same? What if it was personal, i.e. you lost someone in the attacks he has claimed?
Tip for best answer: M$0.50

Frankly, I see nothing wrong with this. In fact, I'm really surprised a black ops team has not found, eliminated and come up with an alternate "story" for how he was killed.

That being said, as far as I'm concerned, I feel like the UN should put a ridiculous bounty on his head and declare open season on a man who's killed hundreds of people WORLD WIDE, not just in New York.

Going Rouge? By all means - PLEASE do it! Do whatever it takes to rid this planet of this evil. The world will continue to live in fear until he's dead. (obviously, he's not the only terrorist on the block, but him winding up dead would be a huge boost to the worlds' morale right now).

I'm totally behind a rouge team to do whatever it takes. GO FOR IT!!

It also just occurred to me I said "Going Rouge" and not "rogue."

I was gonna say... While I understand others have different views and opinions, on THIS subject, an unhelpful explanation seems critical!

I think you may be on to somethnig. Launch an investigation immediately!

I wouldn't sweat the @ahuq unhelpful vote my Texas friend.. either they live in the same neighborhood as Bin Laden and are concerned for the property values or... just maybe ... @ahuq IS Bin Laden and has a very personal stake in your answer.

I, personally wouldn't do it, but I don't have an issue with it at all. I'm just too big of a coward.

I give Mr. Faulkner credit, though, and I'm aggravated that the press is trying to make Mr. Faulkner into some kind of a lunatic. My question is, are we just disappointed because he didn't get the chance to finish the job?

We've watched "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and seen the tenacity of Joe Lefors who tracked them to Bolivia. The man was relentless and on a mission.

Mr. Faulkner has been to Pakistan seven times. He probably made some pretty good connections while he was there. He was arrested in a forest. It's not like he had a room in a hotel. It's just too bad he got busted. I really don't believe that he was trying to gain notoriety or cash in on the bounty money, I think he did this with the purpose of disposing of Bin Laden as a social and personal duty.

He's being mocked for saying that God told him to do it, but to any Bible believing person, this is totally possible. (The story of David is a good example).

People watch "Dog, the Bounty Hunter." He gets word of a bad guy (or girl), goes out to get him, even following them into a different country, and they go to prison. (He spent time in a Mexican prison because of a bust). What's the difference?

So even though I would be way too scared to do something that rogue, I admire people who are not afraid.

Ordinarily I would not bother pursuing such a powerful and wealthy adversary as Bin Laden simply because of the protection that surrounds him. This billionaire must have plenty of bodyguards and loyal fundamentalist followers that would give their life for their boss. As an American I also feel that it should have been the task of our nation to exterminate him when we had the opportunity on about three occasions. We messed up and perhaps if our nation had been more ruthless we would not have botched the attempts!
When dealing with family and a personal issue this becosmes an entirely different matter. If it were personal and my emotional turmoil was unbearable I would do anything humanly possible to personally cut his head off.

The news reported a young 28 year old Muslim lawyer acted as a suicide bomber after her own brother and eventually her fiance were killed. Both of her parents were deceased, she had no other family, and obviously had no one left to love or love her. Many people would have acted in a similar fashion with or without religious beliefs. I can understand her action to fulfill a cause and end a life of unhappiness.
