and was wondering how many people would go through with this and for crissake, WHY?
Is body image really that important to society?
Whats your take on all of this
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Personally, I think it's nuts unless there is a clearly defined medical problem causing a woman to need the surgery. Any why in the world would any woman want to do this knowing the may never have another orgasm for the rest of their life?
Looking at the other side effects would make me think twice if I wanted to have it done. Vaginal collapse, death of surrounding tissue, fistulas and more. Sounds like a lot of the complications would make a woman's genitals more "ugly" than when she began if anything were to go wrong.

M$Um, the answer is nope. The chance of losing sensation just for looks is just an immature choice. Can you imagine losing sensation at 18 or younger and then living another 70 years that way?

M$Well for virgins, you can't miss what you never knew...
But yeah, thats one helluva price to pay to get the boys to stop making fun of you.
And if he's making fun of you, you shouldn't be having sex with him anyway! sheesh.
I'd pick abstinence over surgery
Losing sensation !
No way should anyone consider this
The point of it is sensation

I kinda figured 'vaginoplasty' would give the mature thing away....
also, ew, I had no idea about those side effects.
That makes it even worse that parents are allowing sixteen year olds to do that
True about the mature thing.. Just wasn't expecting it when I opened the page :-)
