So no, I wouldn't make out with an ash tray, so I wouldn't date a smoker.
Now if they want to quit for a couple months and then call me....my husband would probably still be pretty angry.

I've dated women who smoke and the taste is horrible.
I don't smoke so I can easily taste it. Plus, their tongue becomes rougher than a dog's.
My last gf was giving up smoking, but I could always tell when she had sneaked a cigarette in that day. It was horrible!
Never again shall I date someone who smokes. Besides the second-hand smoke possibly giving me emphysema (one of mum's friends has this. She never smoked but her husband and sons do.) I really hate the taste and smell.

If I wasn't allergic to it? Probably not, because of health concerns. For me, dating could always turn into marriage (and did). I've seen people die of emphysema and oral cancer. Not fun, not pretty, not cool. And it stinks. And ages you. And anymore, lowers you a status level or so, at least in my part of the country.
