I'd say maybe.
If I could clone the dog body AND mind, preserving its memories, I would absolutely go for it. However, if I could only clone the body, that would be a mixed blessing. The personality and experiences my dog will have developed in its lifetime with me will still be gone.
Maybe in the future if they develop the ability to read and record memories from our brains, and further, imprint brains with the neural information, it might make cloning a really attractive option. By then though, who knows, they might have discovered how to extend life period through other means.
