Sure, but it'd have to reduce it by a lot, say $1,000/year for at least 5 years. Ron Pernick of Clean Edge speculated about a 1 or 2 kilowatt system at that $3,000 price range. That'd be worth roughly $800-$1600/year based on my current energy bill. Yeah, I think I could do that. Throw in some tax credits and I'd definitely be in.
