Would the new Narnia movie be as good if it wasn't in 3D?

I have seen all three of The Chronicles of Narnia movies, beginning with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, then Prince Caspian and now The Voyage of The Dawn Threader when they were in the theater. I saw all three movies in 2-D, including The Voyage of The Dawn Threader which was the only one that was put out in 3-D and I can honestly tell you that I thought it was a good movie even without the 3-D effects.
In my opinion not all the movies that are being put in 3-D really need this extra feature. Yes, 3-D is a great effect but it seems like it’s being used more and more to the point where it is becoming more of a gimmick then anything else. Also, remember that 3-D movies cost more then a 2-D films, so before going to see a movie and 3-D it’s important to determine whether or not the movie experience would be any different without it. I can honestly tell you when it came to The Voyage of the Dawn Threader, it didn’t make any difference at all.
