Would Philadelphia be a good place to go on a honeymoon?

My cousin Alicia is about to get married in the Fall and she just informed me that she would be spending her honeymoon in Philadelphia. This sounds incredibly strange to me, especially since both Alicia and her fiance are from Pennsylvania and currently live in Edinboro, PA. I guess they don't have much money to spend on taking a fancy trip anywhere, but Philadelphia still seems too plain and familiar, in my opinion. Wouldn't something more along the lines of Pittsburgh be better for a relatively cheap and close alternative? What are your thoughts on having a romantic honeymoon or getaway in Philadelphia? What is there to do in that city? Would you choose this, even if you didn't grow up in PA? What if you had? Can you see where Alicia is coming from?

Why don’t your cousin choose to visit a perfect places for lovers and newlywed i.e. Virginia, that have several places and gateways to make a wonderful honeymoon. If your cousin wants to enjoy the full and colorful fall season that have romantic attraction for newlywed then she should explore the Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley (a perfect place for honeymoon).

Moreover, there are many festivals and events also toke places in fall like Apple Picking, Romantic Horse Drawn Carriage Rides and The Nature-friendly Garden in Shenandoah National Park etc.

The driving distance from Edinboro, Pennsylvania to Shenandoah, Virginia is just 341 miles / 549 km that take $56 round trip cost as per current fuel prices.
