Would Howard Stern be a good replacement for Simon Cowell?
I ran across an article that said "You might be upset or relieved" in reference to Howard Stern taking over Simon's place as a judge on American Idol. Was Stern really a consideration for this position?

It was hyped that Stern would replace Cowell, but nothing ever came of it. I don't think you could replace Cowell on American Idol. Simon Cowell was a unique sort of character on these reality competition shows.
I don't know what they will do in Cowell's absence, but he'll be doing X factor, so no big loss.
