Would a 'Go to page___' navigation be a good idea?

I like to periodically look at the older unanswered/open questions to see if I have anything to add. I have never run into this problem before, but today I have so far paged through 37 pages of plumbing questions from @localquestion, with no end in site, and I am falling asleep.

With increased traffic to the site, would such a function work?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'd love to see that feature on all pages. Sometimes I'll be voting, for example, and I know that before I took a break to go make supper I was on page 7. And then one of my kids shuts off my browser to do something else on the computer (they all want *my* computer, instead of the laptops or Mac, for some reason) and when I come back I have to dig down to find where I was, which takes some of the short time I have to spend.

Great suggestion!

I think it's a great idea... navigation of pages on the web always is. Lemme also add that we need this feature for searching through our own answers as well. Sometimes, a question comes up that similar to an earlier one you may have answered. Looking for it in your profile page is a pain, thus the need for a 'go to' feature.

Keep the ideas coming - Mahalo!

I think that a "go to page" option would be fantastic. The seemingly-endless stream of plumbing-related questions is one reason why I'd like to jump around more easily, but I also like the idea of being able to easily navigate when it comes to vote for undecided best answers. I'd like to be able to jump quickly when I get to the oldest questions (which I like to answer first), and notice that the pages are full of answers that have already received my votes.

There actually is an easy way to do this, which I explained in a similar question:

Yeah, I know - I was doing that before I came across that question and answer, actually. I just wouldn't mind having the more-convenient option right there on each page on this site, that's all - it would make the site more user friendly for everyone, I think, including those of us who don't mind doing a tiny bit of work to hop around to where we want to go.

A 'site map' is your best bet and probably the only answer when it comes to site navigation. Adding 'meta tags' and relevant keywords are also keys to unlock the traffic door. A great navigational system plus great relevant content means more traffic and more sales.
