Worst wordpress 2.7 (and earlier) plugins for site speed? Other easy tips for optimization?
Okay, so this is loaded BUT I did a fresh install, site was blazing fast, then a few typical plugins (all in one seo, wp post ratings etc) and it came to a crawl - pingdom showed it running from under 3 or 4 seconds tops to 12 to 20 - of course it's also mediatemple, but the optimizations should have it churning...
i have read TONS of articles about optimizing wordpress, and i get them all - but honestly, changing a few php calls isn't going to do much, nor will editing sql config if plugins are pulling info constantly, nor will supercache if users are commenting and so on...all tips and tricks have serious drawbacks!
anybody know of the best and most efficient wordpress plugins for things like postratings, postview counts and so on?
