True story: I went to one of those MTV "Rock and Jock" basketball games at the UCI Bren Events Center. (I was in high school at the time...ugh, so old...) Anyway, the special halftime guests were Tag Team, who performed this song. This was only a short time after it became popular, but everyone in the crowd knew...this thing had about 2 weeks left until the entire world recognized its awfulness.

I don't think this song belongs in this list - this is a great hip-hop song (especially the version that was embedded w/ Elton John). However, this question is very subjective - what is golden to me might be garbage to you and vice-versa.

I'm not sure I would count this actually... It is certainly bad BUT if you listen to the lyrics (and watch the video for that matter) you can see they made it for fun, not to be serious. Some of the other Rap songs posted are just as bad and what makes it worse is the fact that the artist actually think they are making a good song!!
