The worst move of all time is Pootie Tang starring Chris Rock. It's unwatchable. The plot makes no sense and I can't understand what anyone is saying, which is part of the "joke" but also unfunny.

Because it was a propoganda movie of it's time, but oh so stupid-Reefer Madness. It was meant to be serious but it actually now is a bad comedy.

"A Gnome Named Gnorm" (1990) starring Anthony Michael Hall and terrible effects and a plot to match. Also called "Upworld."

An LAPD cop (Hall) teams up with a Gnome to make an awful film...

Or, according to Sandra Brennan of All Movie Guide: "In this action-comedy, an eccentric detective ends up working with a lost gnome who has accidentally burrowed up from his subterranean world. He is searching for something valuable he lost so he can win the heart of a winsome gnomette. Wacky mayhem ensues."

Any of those parody movies (Scary Movie, Epic Movie, etc) are pretty bad. Not because they're just poorly acted and scripted, but it's also super lazy and so topical that after a few months, the jokes are all about old things no one even remembers.

I know this is a classic, but I also thought the original "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" (1916) was just awful. Aside from the novelty of a silent film, it's almost like it's supposed to be a comedy, it's so bad. It was free for me to see in the theater, and I still almost walked out. It's told the way a little kid would tell a story: "oh, did I mention that there are three guys in a hot air balloon? No? Well, there are. Anyway..." It wowed audiences at the time because of the under water filming, but it's nearly unwatchable. I left the theater thinking "oh, that's what movies were like before they invented plot and acting."

Hahahah, I had to laugh at that description of the way the story was told. Hehe, it does seem like in early days, they definitely were still figuring out what exactly "made" a movie... I guess even these days, some moviemakers seem to have gotten the idea that special effects and explosions are enough.

I have to admit that I found the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift pretty bad. I've found other Fast and the Furious movies a bit groan-ish too, but this one to me seemed really generously packed with silly cliches, stereotypes, badly formed representations of the cultures involved, character behaviour that was fairly nonsensical/ridiculous/embarrassing....

When faced with this question my husband would surely begin his usual rant about a David Lynch movie that I took him to see, Inland Empire... And while I agree that this one had some particularly incomprehensible elements, even for David Lynch, I'm sure SOMEONE out there understood what on earth the "family of bunnies with laugh track" scenes meant...

I've actually SEEN every single movie in your answers there. They are tolerable.

THESE two movies need to be shown at Guantanamo Bay. They'd all talk or kill themselves after 2-3 times.

TROLL 2. I can't describe how horrible it is. Here's a clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIo7Eq4Xq5Y the whole thing is like this. THE WHOLE THING

Howling 4: New moon rising. It's like they found a small Arizona town, gave them a camera and said "go for it!". I'm not kidding. The movie stops randomly and they do country line dancing. In the DARK!!!

I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU to get through even 1/2 of Howling 4.

Here you go!

Most of the movies listed above are quite bad, but watchable. For a movie that is extremely difficult to get through just because of its sheer disgustingness, try Pink Flamingos. If anyone can make it through the whole film, they will need a week of therapy. Guaranteed.

Supernova starring Angela Bassett and James Spader was HORRIBLE. I can't even begin to describe the plot behind the movie because I practically erased that hour and 45 minutes from my mind. I do however remember that the last few scenes were, unfortunately, memorable because eye colors were exchanged. It makes no sense now restating it and it didn't make sense while watching.I can't even find a trailer on Youtube to share it must have been so bad.

Next would be SyFy favorite, Ice Spiders. Gigantic, mutated spiders escape a lab and venture on a killing spree of the few residents atop the snowy mountains of Utah. Enough said.

Then there's also Funny Games starring Naomi Watts, Tim Roth and Michael Pitt. Teenage boys terrorize a family with little motive. Roth's character is useless and hardly necessary in the film.

Basically, I'd love to have the hours I wasted watching these movies returned to my lifespan.

This really depends on each person's personal perspective.

Plan 9 from Outer Space has been considered one of the worst films ever made by one of the worst film makers in the film industry. Yet, this movie had a cult following long before Johnny Depp portrayed Ed Wood. The cheapness with which the movie was mode became its own value.

I happen to think that Sleepaway Camp is one of the worst horror films ever made but I have also watched it a number of times. I watch it because it has the 'so bad, it's funny' thing going for it. The poor acting, the miserable script and the lackluster direction bind together to present an unforgettable experience. I cannot watch this without laughing out loud. Others may watch this film and just see it as *really* bad. Others may like it for what it tried to be. It just depends on each individual preference.

So, while I think Sleepaway Camp is one of the worst films ever, it's also one of my favorites.

I have to agree somewhat with Reefer Madness which was shown to me at school as part of our drug education programme in the late 70s. It had 150 13 year old boys cringing with embarrassment for the ignorance of our elders.
However I have to vote finally for the Bollywood movie which was shown on the deluxe video bus I took in India. A nine hour journey was regaled with 3 showings of a masala movie -little bit of romance, little bit of action, little bit of 'comedy', little bit of singing in every scene. It was also played at full volume and there was nowhere to hide or run.
