Education education education! The only way to prevent a disease like aids. All of our attention needs to be focused on getting the education out there. And making contraceptives available for free everywhere. The more we see them the less they will be taboo to talk about. The catholics need to get on board, whether we like it or not religion plays a huge role, the pope's statements condemning the use of contraceptives is just criminal, he just made sure that more people will die by making that statement, unbelievable! The government needs to subsidize condoms in stores. I personally know people who have gone without protection simply because they didn't want to pay the high prices at the store. I can't believe that there are still people who believe that teaching abstinence in schools is the best approach. unbelievable, it's like saying you want your children to have unprotected sex! Just crazy. We also need to stop making this an issue about race and sexual orientation, it is just as big a problem for straight people as it is for gays and Africans. The amount of infection in the gay community has gone way down and has gone up in the straight community, this is attributed to the rampant education campaign that's been happening in the gay community the past decade. I'll say it again education education education!
