According to polskieradio.pl Piotr Stanczak was a Polish engineer abducted by the Taliban militants in northern Pakistan on September 28, 2009. One of his co-workers at the Geofizyka oil and gas exploration company allegedly saw the video of the execution and confirmed Stanczak's identity.
