How about some non-US perspectives?
The BBC as you might expect does an excellent job, and the Guardian newspaper also has a nice site:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/wwtwo/
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/secondworldwar
Then there are the Canadian and Australian stories:
http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub.cfm?source=history/SecondWar
http://www.ww2australia.gov.au/
I would have loved to find German, Japanese, Russian and other sites, but couldn't find anything worth recommending. I guess the language issue would be a problem in finding material, and also the topic is a lot more sensitive in those countries.
But the Anne Frank Musuem tells a fascinating and moving story about the life of a Jewish family hiding from the Nazis in Holland.

Also, anything about WWII has to pay special attention to the Holocaust:
http://www.ushmm.org/
http://www.aish.com/holocaust/default.asp
And I think the Manhattan Project also deserves to be highlighted:
http://www.atomicmuseum.com/Tour/manhattanproject.cfm
http://www.atomicheritage.org/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1
Hopefully some of those are worthwhile additions to what you already have.

I am working on a community contributed, chronological and geographical timeline of the events of World War Two. I think the combination of maps and timelines offers a unique perspective on the war and I would love to hear what you think.
