Have you signed up on Battle.net all you World of Warcraft and Diablo players?

They have brought back the Battle.net sign up instead of the username.

I signed up several months ago in order to purchase a Blizzard authenticator to prevent hacking after my husband's account was hacked. During the early stages, the battle net account was much more annoying as it often took longer to load into the character select screen or event to get through the initial connection screen. They seem to have ironed out those issues now, though and logging in is as simple as using a regular WoW account. They've also already starting sending out the pet, Chilly the penguin, to those who have linked their accounts.

Yes, I have signed up on Battle.net for the main account considering all the Blizzard made games. Although to be honest, the only reason I spent any time to join, and change that, was so I could enter the beta for Starcraft 2, which I must say looks exceptional.

I signed up long ago. They even offered incentive to get it done by offering an in game pet (the penguin one). It seems I hear a lot of skepticism about signing up for a battle.net account. I don't understand it. Either way, it is mandatory so get it done soon! :)
