On May 5, 2009 an announcement was made that "Roxette would re-unite after 7 years and play for the first time on the Night of the Proms in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany". On Friday, October 23 the band will perform in the Antwerp Sportpaleis for a series of concerts. The official press release had the following statement from the band: "We are thrilled to finally be able to attend Night of the Proms. It’s gonna be the first time we share a live stage together since 2001 and it certainly feels most exciting to do it in front of the huge Night of the Proms audience. Almost at the end of the concert, Gessle said: "I’d like you all to welcome an old friend of mine: Marie Fredriksson" 45, then she joined the band to perform "It Must Have Been Love" and "The Look". Later she also appeared on stage with him in Stockholm, at the last concert of his solo tour, May 9, 2009.
