Wondering how often freelance editors and proofreaders should evaluate the professional image they present to their clients. Time frame?

Once a month at least, give your image an overhaul and make sure you're still appealing to your client base. Ask them directly how you can improve. Check out the "Marketing your services for people who hate to sell" book by Rick Crandall. or check out Rick crandall's website.
