Question for my ladies, would you use the Go Girl Urinal?

The GoGirl is a female urination device that helps women urinate while standing up. It's like a funnel, but flexible, made from medical-grade silicone. They are reusable and sell for about $7.

Would you purchase or use this? Take it along on camping trips? Thoughts?

I really don't understand this concept at all. Why would I want to carry this thing around with me and why would I want to pee standing up? Then you would have to wash the thing when you were done with it. If I am outside I can squat. If I am in a public restroom, I will line the seat with toilet paper first. I would not waste my money on this device.

What is better when you have no choice but to stand or squat, letting some get on you or your cloths escpecially the young one. Have you ever squated to realize there was a snake around you. I am sure if you are smart you would have a zip bag for it as well as carry toilet paper. I have been a life time camper and I don't camp in campgrounds its deep woods. I like the idea.

After watching a video about it, I change my answer. It does not look nearly as messy as I was expecting and I almost want one now.

Actually I would, it sounds like it would be very convenient for women who go hiking, camping and such where there is no access to bathrooms or portapotties. I have been there I know. Thanks for this infor.

I'm not a lady, but I can't see how any girl would want to carry this around, not to mention have to wash it after each use, just to be able to stand up to go to the bathroom. Maybe if it was disposable and use for emergencies only, then it might make a little more sense.

A couple of my friends are into camping, and someone brought up getting one of these and everyone was in agreement that it sounded interesting. I don't know if any one of them actually got it though

No thanks!

It doesn't seem hygienic. Not to mention elegance.

If women have no practice, using it could be a disaster... And we have no practice, how could we?!?

Would it be useful for gals stuck in a traffic jam or similar? That problem comes up from time to time.

I think a female using one of those in a traffic jam would awkward... to say the least.

You guys don't know how good you have it in the 'pee pee' department!

Definitely!! :D

Wow - I had no idea they were that cheap! :o

I would absolutely use one of these (I've heard them called a "She-Wee"). I'm sick to the back teeth of having to find a tenfoot to squat in and then trying not to piss on my shoes... ;)

In an emergency, I'd rather use one of these than to squat, especially when I'm wearing pants. I've gone overseas before where bathrooms are nothing but little holes in the floor, and it's quite, uhm, awkward to use them for Americans used to sitting on a toilet. While it seems somewhat more hygienic for people not to physically touch a toilet seat, when people pee all over the floor... not so hygienic then! However, the little GoGirl Urinal could help not have to worry about that in a foreign country with toilets unlike the ones I'm used to at home. If I were going to Korea, some parts of Thailand, etc, I'd say these are a must-have item to pack.

Also, they seem to be a bit better on a late-night road trip with miles and miles between road stops. Use by the side of the car without having to expose your rear end to oncoming traffic? Yep, I'd use it.

Would I use it regularly? Uh, no.

But traveling? You betcha!

I'm all for it! I can think of a number of uses. For instance, if you have ever been a mom of young girls, it would be a blessing to have in the car (and for that matter, hook it up to your son, in a pinch). Now if they just made a holder for it, until you were able to pull over and dump it out. How about a runner doing a 10K or Marathon? All you would need is a towel to hide you, a quick urine dump and you are back on your way. And there is always the issue of peeing in the woods. Ok, so maybe that is taking it a bit too far...

Women urinating standing up? Every lady knows what it is like to have to urinate in the great outdoors and endure the dribbles says yes.
I am going to buy one and encourage all women to do so as well. The environmental and economic rewards are plenty you'll never again have to cover the toilet seat with paper eiww. This device would save alot of trees since 98% of toilet paper in America is derived from virgin wood. Economically you would save money on toilet paper. I wondered how financially strapped I would be before I was cutting corners on toilet paper until I read a quote by Dave Praeger, the author of "Poop Culture: How America Is Shaped by Its Grossest National Product." "The very existence of subpar toilet paper in the market shows that cost is a factor."
I say a resounding yes to the female urinal.
