Does anyone else have abnormal pregnancy symptoms, such as purpura or hemorrhaging? What are they?

I recently had a baby and when I went to the doctor, the pregnancy did not show up, in fact the doctors put me through two months of testing for cancer, because I had no signs of pregnancy and all four blood tests were negative for the pregnancy hormone. I was just wondering if I was the only person that had these problems. My blood started to hemorrhage under my skin and turned purple with lots of bruising.

According to eMedicine and WebMD, thrombocytopenic purpura is common in new mothers and babies. Thrombocytopenic purpura is an immune disorder where the body attacks the platelets in your blood. Platelets are what help your blood clot. Because thrombocytopenic purpura destroys platelets it can cause bruising on your skin. This is probably why you report hemorrhaging under your skin.
Purpura can go away on its own but does sometimes need medication. Make sure you talk to your doctor to get the right treatment. Purpura can lead to internal hemorrhaging, which is very dangerous. Again, see your doctor.

Hope this helps!

You should NOT be on mahalo answers. You should be consulting a physician and possibly an attorney. Just my two cents.

I think you misunderstood what I asked. I just wanted to know if it was a common condition. My daughter is 1, so I don't have those symptoms now, I'm doing just fine....
