I can't see my second HDD when I log into Windows XP after installing Ubuntu in my second HDD.

Ok This is my problem. I have 2 HDD, first 200GB witch I have Windows XP in it.
Second HDD 500GB, Ubuntu installed in it.
When I log into Windows I don't see my second HDD.
Can anybody tell me why? and how can I fix it so I can see what I have in it.

Back up the data using live disc and nuke the hard drives.

You will not be able to see the ubuntu harddrive due to the fact that it is a different file format than windows uses.

Linux uses EXT3, while windows uses NTFS. They just don't really mix. That is why you need to create a "SWAP" partition that is FAT32 based. That is the only way you can really do what I think you are talking about.

I'd say odds are XP can't see or interface with Linux FAT tables on a drive formatted for linux. If you want to see if the lower levels of XP see it go into the system Adminstrative section and look under disk drives and see if you have any drives that are listed as an unknown drive format type.
