How do I disable the system try balloon notification when connecting to a wireless network in WinXP?
I want to disable the notification popup for successful connection to a wireless network. I don't want to remove all popup notifications from the system tray, just the one for the wireless connection.

That's almost what I'm looking for - these steps remove the icon from the tray entirely. I am hoping to only stop the balloon notification from happening when I connect to a network. Thank you for your advice in any case!

I don't believe you can disable the tooltip while retaining the icon.
