Windows 7 is very overpriced in Australia. Do you have similar concerns about your country's pricing?

Australia pays prices far in excess of USA for Windows 7, even taking currency differences into consideration. eg.

For example, an upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate costs $429 in Australia but only $US219.99 (AUD$236) in the US – a difference of $193 for the same product.

Windows 7 Professional outright will cost Australians $449, but the US gets it for $128 less, with the retail price of $US299.99 ($AUD322).

To me thats the price I'm used to seeing for OS. I'm used to each program such as excel and access being roughly 129 dollars. I think of it as an option to remodel your computer and it's going to cost...Unfortunately not everyone can afford it and there aren't usually anytype of payment plans you can do with it unless you use a credit card...But that definetly seems high in Australia...

I'm going to have to say no. I'm looking over the available pricing information and it looks like only Australia got the shaft this round. I'm sure there's a reason for this and if I had to guess I'd say they don't have faith in the AUD.

Thank God for parallel importing, right?
