Will you watch David Letterman this week? Penelope Cruz, Robert Pattinson, Stephen Colbert and John Mayer will appear?

Ignore the women. :)
Dave hasn't been doing spectacular, but his show is definitely more funny than Conan's show, although I'd have to say Conan is funnier than Dave.

M$I won't watch every night since it's not practical for me, so I'll probably watch Colbert . This is what he was like last time he was on Letterman: video here-

Thanks, konsiders.
And, I tend to agree with you, but why do you think that quasi-paradox (Dave and Conan) exists? My gut reaction is that Conan sometimes seems *forced* when he interviews. Also, perhaps, that his opening *shtick* gets kinda wearisome. I like Conan and his show OK, but it doesn't *grab* me like Dave and his show.
Conan has always been trying to create from his show an effect that either he decides, or someone else tells him. If you remember the Max-Conan stare offs and the "Little Baby Go to Sleep" songs he did on Late Night, his goal on the show was generally to put people to sleep. He spent so much effort and so many years trying to balance comedy with de-excitement that a lot spilled over into The Tonight Show, when he picked it up. He's recovering from that momentum now.
Dave on the other hand is on his way out, both medically/health wise, and in the sense he's getting too old to be groundbreaking and hip. He doesn't care anymore how he's perceived, which is a great thing a lot of the time, but his age (he's 62!) will start to catch up with the show and how the audience reacts.
