M$As for Letterman, I think he's just a dirty old man who thinks he can get away with sleeping with women old enough to be his daughter. Cheater! (Some people think they are invincible because they are celebrities...Wrong!) He should be replaced with some young hot dud...See how he feels about that.

M$True 'nuff about Agassi.
If the comments here (tboz, dimitry, kimmertje) are at all indicative, I would say that public opinion has turned against Dave somewhat since this first came out. Check out these comments at David Letterman or this question (http://www.mahalo.com/answers/david-letterman/are-you-ok-with-how-david-letterman-handled-the-alleged-extortion-attempt-last-night-10-1 ) for the change in the comments - and how I've moved from being on one side of the commenters to the other side.

M$Sorry, aw, but she'll probably only be on for 4 minutes! ;-)
Here's 3 1/2 more:
Thanks, dimitry.
I see where you're coming from on this. And, I am on the record (and took some heat) on discussing the sexual harassment angles of this situation. And, I DO believe that - at a minimum - his relationship (before marriage) with Ms. Birkitt likely created a hostile working environment and thus constituted a form of sexual harassment.
However, even though he has admitted having sex with more than one woman on his staff over the 25+ years he's been on the air (he had a very long-term relationship with at least one, Ms. Markoe), I have not seen the evidence that has led you to your "scummy human being" conclusion. You state as "fact" that he was forcing with everyone on his staff (bi?) to sleep with him, and it was the only way to keep your job/get ahead.
The way I see it right now is that he stupidly screwed around (occasionally and before he was married) and inadvertently caused a hostile environment. If you or the publicly-available information convince me otherwise, I'll change my opinion from "stupid" and "flawed" to "really stupid" and "scummy". And, I, too, would stop watching his show.
The fact that he was sleeping with every single member on his staff, and the only way to get ahead or keep your work dealt with taking a detour through his bed tends to uphold my opinion that he was a scummy human being. Having adultery is one thing; wrong but a choice--but forcing all your staff members to go through your bed can only be deemed "scummy".
Thanks, dimitry. I agree with you on the viewing being a kind of voting, and I agree that he has shown some personality flaws.
Buttttttt, "scummy human being"? I don't think he has been found guilty of that. What causes you to come to that conclusion?
