Will you help me with a sound track?

I run Sci-Fi role playing games. http://www.mahalo.com/role-playing-games

Can you help me put together fun soundtracks using services like Finetune.com (for full soundtracks) or tinysong.com (for specific songs) If you know of other free sites feel free to use them, but just no pandora the songs are a bit too random to be of use.

The game will have moments of quiet tension, followed by horror, then action.

Have fun with it!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

OK, I'll chuck my oar in here. Always wanted to have a go at a soundtrack!

Quiet tension:

Scars _ Papa Roach
Journey to the line - Hans Zimmer (From the soundtrack to the movie, The Thin Red Line)
Redeemer - Marilyn Manson/Korn
Forsaken - Disturbed/Korn
This is Hardcore - Pulp (although the words may not be suitable for those of a more prudish nature)
Tiny Demons - Todd Rundgren
Slow Chemical - Finger Eleven

Horror :

Hysteria - Muse
Down with the Sickness - Disturbed
Nobodies - Marilyn Manson
Prayer - Disturbed
Night on Bald Mountain - Mussorgsky
Danse Macabre - Saint-Saens

Action:

Hallowed be Thy Name - Iron Maiden
Wish I had an Angel - Nightwish
Can't Stop - Red Hot Chili Peppers
All my Life - Foo Fighters
Plug in Baby - Muse
Master of Puppets - Apocalyptica
The Ride of the Valkyries - Wagner

Ok, these probably say more about my musical taste than I intended *chuckle*, but I reckon you can come up with a good soundtrack from those. If you want to hear them, they are all available on Youtube. In fact, you can watch Mussorgsky playing his composition in person, which I wasn't aware of until a few days ago.

Good luck with your soundtrack.

I am a big fan of Radiohead and believe a video game soundtrack could be entirely composed of a combination of both their instrumental and vocal tracks. Have a listen to a sample.

For action I would like to hear Optimistic

For quiet tension I would like to hear Idioteque or Treefingers

For horror I would like to hear Everything in its Right Place

The others I selected above would do nicely as well.

Radiohead is a great band, can you think of a Song for each of these moments: Quiet Tension, Horror, Action?

A) How many songs are you looking for?
B) How long is the game going to be played for?
C) No repeats?
D) you can inlink things (I leaned this recently use double brackets then what it is you want to show. Role Playing Games

2-4 hours, no repeats I may use it for multiple sessions so as long as you would like.

I welcome people to list out any number of songs, but the nod (and tip will likely go to someone with a large list)
