Will the Oklahoma City Thunder perform even better in the NBA 2010-2011 season?
The former Seattle Super Sonics the Oklahoma City made it to their first ever playoffs this year (2010) by virtue of their 8th place finish in the Western Conference after the regular season.
With Kevin Durant leading the charge for the young yet talented Thunder team, they gave the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers a scare in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. The Lakers took out the pesky and gritty Thunder from the playoffs in six games.
With the strong showing by the Thunder team do you think they can get even better next season (2010-2011).

The Oklahoma City Thunder is an exciting, good young basketball team, who I think will only continue to improve. They had five rookies on the roster this season, three players with one year experience and two with two years experience. The core of their team made of up Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Jeff Green and James Harden are just 21, 21, 23 and 20 years old. At this time, Durant is carrying the bulk of the scoring duties at 30.1 points per game. That will have to change for the team to continue to progress, because in general one man doesn't carry a team (with certain exceptions) Durant lead the team in rebounds at 7.6 per game and Serge Ibaka lead in blocks per game with 1.33 in just 18 minutes a game. I believe they need a more dominant defensive force inside, someone who can block 3 shots per game and hit the boards for around 10 per game. Maybe Ibaka can be that player if he can become a starter and play 30 to 35 minutes a game. I can see them adding a veteran for some leadership and guidance for the younger players but really just see continued improvement for a team that is very very young. They'll be exciting for years to come!
