Will the iPad's accelerometer functionality be the same as the iPhone's?
Will there be any new inputs as to using the accelerometers?

Yes it will be the same as the iPhone. The one nice feature that will be slightly different is that when you are looking at a pic you can flip the iPad over and show someone else the same pic and it will rotate so the pic will look right side up for them. Check this video out to see what I am talking about. Other than that everything else will be the same.
