Will subscribing and unsubscribing (multiple times) to a podcast on iTunes continually help its ratings/rankings?

Looking to help with Brian Brushwood's iScam and wondering whether or not it will help if people sit there and subscribe multiple times to the podcast.

Thanks for your time!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Actually, I think it will. Now, they may have fixed this -- but my business partner told me that for application reviews if I delete an application from my phone I get the option to submit a rating. If I then reinstall it, delete it, I can give it a rating.

I'm curious about this one. I may do this on one of my phone apps to see what happens.

Interesting. Seems like they would keep somewhat similar ratings across the iTunes store. Let me know if you can find anything definitive.

According to this article also it's the way that iTunes doesit:http://www.epicempire.com/itunes-podcast-ranking-system.html
So if this still holds true, you can subscribe/unsubscribe a bunch of times and at the turn of the hour check to see if your podcast jumps up. If it doesn't then it either means you didn't click enough or that apple has grown smart and changed their ways

Yeah, I remember one of the Rev3 properties bringing up the subscribe/unsubscribe thing, but it was too long ago for me to remember. So I guess it may still be around. Let me know if you can find anything more recent!

Sorry, my answer wasn't right. I'd delete it, but I can't see any way to do that. Won't happen again!
