Will my current iPod accessories work with the video iPod?
How can I tell if my current iPod accessories will work with the video iPod? Are there any websites, forums or blogs that discuss if my iPod is backward compatible with my accessories?

The good thing about Apple is that it makes all its mobile devices with a standard connector (between Apple products). As such, all iPods come with a standard 30-pin dock connector to USB. This is the reason why you can use the same charger for your iPod as you do for your iPhone. Most iPod accessories will work with older iPod and iPhone models.
What will not work are your cases, which are of a different size. Also, you may have some issues with iTunes as some versions of iTunes do not seem to work with older iPod models. You may experience some problems when syncing music over to these iPods. iTunes 9.2.1 onwards seems to have fixed this problem.
If you are looking for a good website discussing iPod accessories, iLounge is a good place to start. The website offers a discussion thread for all iPods, iPhones and its accessories, and also offers reviews on these accessories as well.
