Tip for best answer: M$0.00

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Yeah, I think it'll work. Does this mean Jonah Hill will be The Skipper? He'd look dynamite in that hat...

Good casting. He's definitely got that gangly awkwardness about him. The Gilligan remake? Bad idea. Hollywood Is completely out of ideas.

I'm always interested when people say the movie industry is "out of ideas." Movie plots have always been based on outside source material - books, radio shows, foreign films, previous movies. If there were old TV shows and video games in the '30s, I'm certain they would have made films about them.

I think it's certainly possible to back up the claim that the overall quality of Hollywood studio films has gone down since the Golden Era, but not so much because old films were based on plentiful fresh or original ideas.

More likely, it's because Michael Bay had not started making films yet.

He does play a good chump doesn't he? His best chump role is Hamilton in Drunk History

Absolutely, Michael would make an excellent Gilligan. He has the right look and similar comedic qualities to the original. I can't think of anyone else that would come close.

Yes. He has a great confused / perplexed look that an actor playing Gilligan would need.
