Will Mahalo ever stop promoting SEX related questions like this.

I believe users of various age groups are coming to mahalo topic pages. Doesn't anyone think that questions like this with a sexy image would distract most of them.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

There are a few reasons it won't stop off the top of my head.

1. Mahalo isn't "promoting" this - anyone is allowed to ask whatever they'd like. Free speech, right? It is a valid question, even if it isn't overly ethical.

2. Sex is a natural part of life, why should we try to hide it?

3. Conundrumland is limited to adults above drinking age - any liquor related page in the US must ask for age verification to limit users to 21+. Only a child that is not following the rules is going to stumble upon that particular question. If they aren't following the rules anyways, I'm sure they're just going to go look up those pictures on their own if they have any interest in them. And if not, they'll just glance over them, and that's it. No worse than they'd see on tv or at the beach anyways.

4. Mahalo is (if I remember correctly) 13+. At this age, the parents are responsible for what a child does, and it's their responsibility to monitor what they're child is doing. The internet is not monitored "in case" some 15 year old stumbles on it - it's the parent's responsibility. Porn isn't illegal after all, and it usually has some sort of disclaimer, but if the kid doesn't regard it, it's the parent's responsibility.
Also, NSFW questions here on Mahalo carry a disclaimer at the top of the section stating they are 18+ only.

I think Mahalo is doing a good job - they remove anything too crazy or descriptive, but leave the other things and usually hide them from the front page, so you actually have to go to the NSFW section to see them. No laws are broken. And nothing is without warning. This particular example is no worse than you'd see at the beach or in ads anyways!

Enjoy!

You may want to reconsider #2 as a response. Going to the restroom is a natural part of life, too, but civilized humans still try to keep it private.

Thanks for your answer. What you have said is absolutely correct. But, what I ask is why mahalo is PROMOTING such questions by putting it in on the top of ALL MAHALO PAGES in the featured pages section.
