You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

But BEST TELEVISION SERIES-DRAMA went to AMC’s Mad Men, giving creator Matthew Weiner more bargaining power with Lionsgate since negotiations are at an impasse. “To my friends at Lionsgate and AMC, it’s been an amazing journey.” Was that his way of saying goodbye? Say it ain’t so.

I have no idea who would be a good replacement.

M$However, I heard the Golden Globe tidbit and also became worried when I heard about the possibility that Weiner may not return.
However, I highly suspect that this is either a marketing or negotiating move on Weiner's part. The show is just coming into it's own and a lot of people are looking forward to the upcoming season.
Since AMC doesn't have a lot of marketing money or money to throw at creators, I bet Weiner is using the Golden Globes as a platform.
