It is not so much of “Google….. stopping censoring in China”. China will close down sites that doesn’t abide by its censorship rules. Google has been abiding to the censorship rule for quite some time. Google China used to be the censored version.
According to this Forbes article, Google’s market share in China is only 31%.
We can also see that Google China lags behind Baidu in innovativeness on China services. Search using Chinese is another ball game that Google doesn’t have advantages on.

M$But won't the Chinese people, who are now used to using Google, get upset when all their Google services disappear.
I've been thinking about this, and I don't think so. Why? Simply because this has happened in the past (where people were able to access a certain web site, then it was blocked), and that didn't cause the downfall of the government, so why would it this time?
