Will Brittany Murphy be going to Hell for her sins?

If she died without putting her faith in Jesus Christ for her salvation, then yes, she is in Hell and will remain there for eternity. It is God's desire that all would come to repentance, but He is also mindful of free will. You cannot force someone to accept a gift if they don't want it. Likewise, God won't force salvation on someone who isn't interested -- those who choose to reject Christ on earth will have their wishes respected in the next life as well. It is very sad indeed.
BUT, unlike those who have passed on to Hell, even the most miserable person still living has hope...hope to experience the joy of knowing Jesus Christ and His power of deliverance, and hope for living with Him for eternity. The Bible says, "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
