You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Blake Griffin missed his entire rookie season due to a stress fracture in his left knee which required surgery. During the preseason, Griffin showed some promise. He played nearly 29 minutes per game, averaged 14 points, 8 rebounds and shot nearly 57% from the field. Griffin has great size at 6' 10" and 251 pounds. At just 21 years old, I would think he'd recover well from his surgery and be fit and ready to play at the start of the 2010 - 2011 season. Where does he fit in on the Los Angeles Clippers Roster? The power forwards on the team are Steve Novak, Craig Smith and Brian Skinner. Travis Outlaw at just 207 pounds is more of a small forward as is Rasual Butler. DeAndre Jordan and Drew Gooden can also play forward but are used mostly at center. Novak played in just 54 games, 6.7 minutes and 2.1 points per game. Smith was productive in 16 minutes per game. He averaged nearly 8 points, 4 rebounds and shot 56.9%. Skinner is 34 years old, played in just 16 games and averaged only 1.6 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. My guess is that Skinner will not be back and neither will Novak. Griffin should have ample opportunity to play many minutes. He should split time with Craig Smith at the power forward. Will he be a starter? Both Griffin and Smith were rookies this season, so I am thinking it all depends on how well Griffin responds from his injury. I think he'll be brought along slowly since he missed an entire season but sometime next year will be starting at power forward and make a significant contribution.

The Los Angeles Clippers first pick in the 2009 NBA Draft will certainly make an impact at least for his team or if he is determined to improve even further and at the same recover well, he can as well make his presence felt on the league. Blake suffered a knee injury after just playing for seven games for the Clippers last October, 2009. His injury sidelined for the rest of the 2009-2100, which indeed dealt a big blow to the Clippers campaign.
If ever Griffin played last season he could’ve been a strong contender for the Rookie of the Year Award. Before he was injured Griffin showed flashes of brilliance as he compiled an average of 28 minutes, 13.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.4 steal and 0.7 block per game in seven games for the Clippers.
He was a proven winner from high school to college and there is no doubt that this talented power forward will soon find its niche on the league.

It’s hard to say whether or not Blake Griffin is going to make any real contribution in the 2010-2011 season. Certainly my gut says that when he gets healthy he could make a serious impression for the Los Angeles Clippers but we just don’t know. The fact that Griffin is playing for one of the biggest jokes of a professional franchise seems to be a real strike against him and it almost seems as though if he does turn into a giant bust, that it wouldn’t be that big a surprise since the Clippers are the team he plays for.

I watched Griffin during his college days, and the guy was simply dominant in a very good Big 12 Conference, and I think he has the stuff that is needed for him to be a dominant player in the NBA. Some would even say that he was a more dominant player in college than Kevin Durant was, and we all know the kind of career Durant has put together so far in the NBA.
