Will any boom stand work with the Heil PR-40 and it's shock mount?

I'm about to purchase a Heil PR-40 for a new project, I was just wondering whether I could get any boom stand whether it will work with the PR-40 and it's shock mount. For example something like this: http://uk.rodemic.com/accessory.php?product=PSA1 . The Heil boom is close to £100, and I'd rather not pay that much considering this one is £45, if you know of a boom stand that would work and is available in the UK please let me know.
Tip for best answer: M$3.00

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I would stick with something very sturdy and with a good name behind it. The weak link in a boom stand is the clutch. For your microphone, I'd go with either an Atlas SB11WE or an Atlas SB36W. Both of these are in their "Studio Boom" series. On-Stage carries similar models, but they cost less and I'd be very suspect of their quality compared to Atlas.

For very inexpensive lightweight boom stands, I've had good results with the D.R. Pro boom-stand's clutches, and horrible results with the K&M boom-stand's clutches.

Yes I agree with bugsi. Like I said before, in my above answer, I believe that most stands are universal with the majority of shock mounts. Hopefully you got in contact with Rode and or Heil.

Sorry, after reading your details, I think the stands I was suggesting are not the type you're looking for. (They'd still work, but I think your PSA1 is a better choice.) I don't forsee any problems with the PSA1 with your PR-40. Good choice.

Excellent choice of microphone.

Most boom stands utilize a small rod at the end that the shock mount slides on then tightens with a thumb screw. With my experience most shock mounts tend to be universal. So if I had to speculate, I would say that the PSA1 paired with the PR-40 would do the job.

I looked at the pages and it seems as though they don't give the dimensions for the "attaching rod". So if you are really concerned I would suggest contacting Rode and Heil just to get the measurments.
