Based on current trend, Google's Android is on track in killing Windows Mobile due to the following reasons. First the Androids market share is rising fast, as a result phone manufacturers are embracing Android OS. Second, Androids mobile apps have already overtaken Windows apps in terms of number due to the fact that Google Androids is an open-source exception. Third, Android has been properly paired to two pieces of hardware-the Motorola Droid and the HTC Droid Eris, which makes more recognizable in the market. Fourth and last, Windows 7 is still to be released in October 2010, with consumers having no idea what it has to offer, Android is way ahead by then.
