Alec Baldwin has flirted with the idea of running for political office. In a much talked about Playboy interview, he threw out the possibility of running for office in New Jersey or Connecticut, specifically mentioning the possibility of running against Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman. He later released a statement saying that he had no plans to either move to Connecticut or run against Joe Lieberman. In recent weeks, he has mentioned that he is growing tired of acting and will likely quit the profession in 2012. It is very interesting timing. Senator Lieberman's current term ends in 2012. I would not be surprised to see Alec Baldwin run for political office at some point even if he decides against challenging Senator Lieberman.
