Will Adonis Chapman of the Cincinnati Reds develop into a dominating pitcher?
He has a fastball that has reached 105 mph and routinely hits 100. He appears to have a good off speed pitch too. But he is young and has some control issues. Will he be a flash in the pan of will be become a star pitcher in Major League Baseball?

I think it's way too early to determine if Adonis Chapman will become a star pitcher in Major League Baseball. I saw him pitch against the Philadelphia Phillies in the playoffs and showed some great stuff. He threw a few fastballs by hitters but when he just went with the fastball, which is very straight and threw it down the middle of the plate, he got hit hard. The Phillies scored some runs off of him in his relief outing. Hitters at the highest level will eventually catch up to a fastball if it is straight no matter how hard it is thrown.
For him to become a dominating pitcher in the league, he will have to be able to control his fastball and consistently get his off speed pitches over for strikes. In other words, he can't just be a "thrower" and try to get his 100+ mph fastball by hitters. If he can beome a picther, he has the potential to dominate if he doesn't throw his arm out.
