Will a Core 2 Duo work with a Compaq Presario SR2011WM?

Nope
It doesn't list it a supported CPU in its motherboard specification. So it would mean it isn't compatible, probably since the core 2 Duo is a lot newer than your motherboard. And the core2duo requires a much faster FSB(front side bus) than the motherboard can support
