Why would Coolio have crack cocaine in his pockets at the airport?

Tip for best answer: M$3.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Maybe they were not his pants. That's what Johnny Pelzer, Jr. said.

Maybe it belonged to his friend. That's what Michael Irwin claimed.

As to why they would (a) target him and (b) risk their jobs to put the dangerous coolio in jail I don't know. I think the cocaine is the only way he can get his name out there. He's desperate and is doing desperate things.

I don't think he was set up at all. We already know there are plenty of actors and musicians out there that use drugs, and as shows such as Celebrity Rehab and Sober House have shown us, washed-up celebrities are no different.

His getting physical with the screener seems like a pretty good indication that he was irritated that he got caught rather than a reaction of innocence.

I'll go ahead and chalk this one up to either him forgetting he put it in his pocket or him thinking he could somehow pull a fast one. Either way, I'll look forward to seeing him on Celebrity Rehab Season 3.

"Because he's a CRACKHEAD!"

'Nuff said.

Actually, in all seriousness, he DID have early issues with crack cocaine (dealing) and using.. According to allmusic guide: "Unfortunately, he also fell prey to crack cocaine addiction, which derailed his music career. Coolio entered rehab and straightened himself out.." (this was BEFORE his big hits...) That bio also says that he previously worked airport security after rehab... so maybe he thought he knew enough to get by without being detected... but then again... if he's an active crackhead he's probably just NOT thinking straight.

So, apparently he has fallen off the wagon..
